Vivaldi for Mac is a new web browser from the team that created the Opera web browser. Not happy with where Opera was going, they decided to create a new web browser called Vivaldi. Vivaldi is intended to be fast but also rich in functionality, highly flexible and puts the user first. Vivaldi is a new browser from a team lead by Jon S. Von Tetzchner, the co-founder of Opera. It's Chromium-based, which ensures decent speeds, even for a Technical Preview. The user interface is built with JavaScript and React ('with the help of Node.js, Browserify and a long list of NPM modules', apparently).
